Mediterranean Sea – The intensity of the marine heatwave event present in the western area of the basin is increasing into strong categories.
North Pacific – At the centre of Indonesia to north of Papua New Guinea, marine heatwaves are developing with greater areas affected by moderate to strong categories.
South Pacific – The marine heatwave in the northeast of New Zealand remains stable at the geographical extent level, and is increasing in intensity.
North Atlantic – The extent and intensity of marine heatwaves along the northern European Atlantic coast are stable, ranging from moderate to locally strong.
